The trimester has finally come to an end. I am actually really sad. I had a lot of fun in this class, and I'm going to miss it. I think about the first time I walked in here, and I can't believe how far I've come. The first day, we didn't use the cameras, we did a birthday challenge, where you had to get in order based on your birthdays, without talking. I didn't participate, but it was fun to watch. the second day... I can't fully remember, but it was either the second day or the fourth day, it was for sure sometime during the first week after the first day of school. Mr.bush assigned us a computer and camera number, and my number was, still is 21. the first thing I remember doing with the cameras was the 25 photo challenge. You had to take 25 pictures of the same object. I used my rainbow colored tangle toy, and I have to say the pictures were pretty bad. This was before we were taught about all the settings and the mechanics of the camera, so Mr.Bush told us to use auto mode for taking the pictures. Below is a picture from the 25 photo challenge at the beginning of the trimester, and my sixth photo assignment. that one was my favorite, and I think the best picture I took. Now to go on to the photoshop/editing side of things... I remember the first time I opened Lightroom, I was so overwhelmed, it was a lot for me to take in. Lightroom wasn't that hard for me, I have done picture editing before. Lighting, filters, vibrance etc. Then, I remember when I first opened photoshop, I was so amazed. I thought it was really cool what you could do to your photos. The first photoshop assignment I did was the pop art assignment. You had to make four quadrants of yourself in certain colors. Photoshop, was really cool, but it was really hard to use. I remember getting so frustrated because I didn't know how to do anything or how to use the tools. I wanted to scream at the computer. I will put that below. The best photoshop assignment I did was the school context assignment. I learned how to do a lot. Take a picture from google, and inserting it into photoshop, removing the background, so you would just see the object. I also learned about image masking, and how when you do something on a mask of the same image, it effects the image. It's kinda hard to explain. I had a lot of fun in this class. For the final, you have t do a photoshop assignment, and I'm actually really nervous about it.... so I hope to do well. Thank you Mr.Bush for helping me and answering all of my questions, and making this class a good experience for me!

I had a hard time with this at first, but once I got the hang of it, I got some pretty good pictures. This was a fun assignment. I am excited to try this technique with other moving objects. The goal was to create a motion blur, and I think I did it pretty well.
This is my last week for photo assignments :(. This week I did nature again. I love shooting nature. These flowers were just at my house in a big flower pot on my porch. I was struggling to find something to shoot for, so I went for this. I had also shot some pictures of my dog in the snow on Saturday, but those didn't turn out s well as I hoped, so I went for something else. I really liked the positioning of the flowers as thy were flowing in the wind. I had this in color at first, but I tried black and white with it and I liked it a lot more. That's the only editing I did with this photo. Below are some other pictures from my shoot.
This was a portrait assignment. You had o take a portrait of someone in a window setting, and a studio setting. I had a hard time with this, because I didn't get a lot of time to take pictures. This is not my best work. I for sure could have done better with people from home. I learned how to make a selection, use the marquee tool, and the paint bucket tool.
This assignment is late, because I missed a day of class on Friday, but I have it now. This was a fun assignment. I shot with Mr. Bush in his studio. He helped me set up my tripod correctly, and to find a good ISO triangle. I learned a lot In this assignment. I learned how t mask a picture, and use the lasso tool to make a selection.
This weekend I went to Wrenchler Farms with my family. We had a photo shoot. But after that, I thought it was a good opportunity t take pictures, so I brought my camera. I had a hard time choosing my best photo of the week. I was originally going for architecture, I was going to get a picture of the barn, but then the photographer gave me a suggestion for a picture. She told me to go under the tree and points my camera up to get a good perspective. I didn't really like it when I saw it on the camera, but when I got to see it on the computer, I ended up really liking the photo. I did edit this picture. I increased vibrance and saturation. I usually don't use those tools very much, but I was exploring, and it really added something to the picture. It was a very cloudy day, so I brightened it up a bit. I also decreased, whites, blacks, shadows, highlights, and contrast. Below are some other pictures I got from my shoot.
This assignment was to take a picture of the school, and then make it halloween theme in photo shop. The picture on top is the original, and the picture on the bottom is the photo shopped version. This assignment was really fun. I liked looking up images that I wanted and then putting them on another image. I didn't want to make it scary, so I went for more of a cute version of halloween. This assignment was all difficult. I have a hard time with the quick selection tool, so I ended up just using the paintbrush and removing the backgrounf=d and making it all tiny so I could do it. It took a lot longer, but I did do it. It's not as clean as it could be, but I think that's okay.
Up above are my panoramic. They are late. I took such a long time with this because I didn't know what I was doing. At first, I was taking them wrong, and then they didn't line p in photoshop. I got very frustrated. But I ended up figuring it out and getting some pretty good panoramics.
This week I decided to do the topic of shadows and light. I struggled for this assignment. I have a hard time figuring out what I'm actually going to shoot. The picture above is my best photo. I did edit this picture. I increased the contrast, and decreased shadows and whites. I did this because the background for this picture was messy. I was only trying to focus on the fish and bubbles. I wanted that to be clearly shown. Below are my other pictures. Not a lot of the are good, so that's why they are runner ups.
My main topic for the week was people. But I also took photos of other things not related to people. The picture above is my best picture from my shoot. My sister had a softball game, and I took this picture of her and her glove right after the game. I learned that shooting people is still hard for me. You have to get it just right, to get a good shot of a person. I explored a little bit more with my editing this week. I was playing with the tint and the temperature. I increased the temp, tint, exposure, shadows, vibrance, and saturation. I decreased blacks, whites, and highlights. The photos below were some runner ups from the shoot.
